CPD Coaching and Mentoring Courses Characteristics

RELATIONSHIP BASED, BESPOKE, COACHING AND MENTORING FOR INDIVIDUALS AND SMALL GROUPS

Our coaching and mentoring will be based very much on what our clients need. We do not produce thick, generic handbooks which may not relate to individual experiences but instead adopt a conversational and personalised approach and offer resources that are bespoke, real, tried and tested. Neither do we enage with large groups – our work is with individuals or small groups, of no more than five people, unless by request.

The EDGE Partnership is keen to build relationships with schools and colleges, based on a coaching and mentoring approach to CPD. Our small group and individual coaching and mentoring themes will be, we hope, the basis of a relationship between the EDGE Partnership and teachers and other professionals from across the country.

Our plan for the next three years is to deliver a suite of themes to cover a breadth of subject and school areas and issues.

We aim to make our small group and individual coaching and mentoring themes as useful as they possibly can be to each individual client. Our themes will have the following characteristics:

• The fee will always include at least two days of training. These can be consecutive days or spread out over a term or an academic year according to the client’s choice, subject to availability of trainers
• The training will occur in situ within the EDGE, and there will be the opportunity to visit more than one school
• As we aim to tailor the training to individual clients we will discuss specific needs, the number of schools to visit and course content with each client. We aim to impose little, and discuss a lot with you
• Our approach is about relationship building
• We will supply, as relevant and appropriate, contemporaneous materials which are used by the professionals within the partnership as opposed to pre prepared, generic handbooks
• Each client will be greeted by experienced members of the EDGE
• Before visiting us, we will discuss with you your priorities and organise bespoke training
• Groups will be no larger than five participants, and schools may book all the places on a course to ensure a school-specific course.

The training course will be tailored so far as practicable. All 10 schools aim to be involved over time which offers plenty of room for manoeuvre.

CPD Course Fees

• All coaching and mentoring sessions consist of 2 days, which may be consecutive or spread out.
• Day 1 will consist of a maximum of five participants, though Day 2 might be individual.
• A fee of £250 per person per day will be charged per course, ie for two days of training the cost will be £500.
• One school may block book all the places on a course, ie all five places, for £2100.
• The fee includes refreshments, lunch, and any resources distributed during the course.
• The fees must be paid 21 days prior to the commencement of the chosen course.
